"A Report to An Academy"
    “A Report To An Academy” by Franz Kafka The is a video-clip of a cooperation of international deaf and hering artists from Singapore, Great Britain, Poland and Austria. It shows the beginning of the performance of "A Report to An Academy". An ape is commissioned by the academy to write down a report about his life before he came to the civilization. But he cannot remember that life, what happened in that time, when he was not civilzed. So his report begins at that moment where he starts to learn civilized manners as shakehands. But he does a research work about his life in wilderness, but not based on his own experience. People from the civilized First World brought directly from the Fourth World to the First World. He did not need go through the Third World and Second World. In the First World he learned to copy and imitate the manners of people of the First World: “Oh yeah, we learn, if we have to learn; we learn, if we search for new opportunities; we learn without any consideration.” We learn: civilization needs sacrifice.
