VISUAL, das 26. Europäische und Internationale Visuelle Theater Festival präsentiert:

Bilinguales Theater gespielt in Österreichischer Gebärdensprache und Deutscher Sprache gespielt von gehörlosen, hörbehinderten, CoDa und hörenden Schauspielerinnen und Schauspielern. CoDA sind hörende Personen, deren Elternteile gehörlos sind und damit als erste Muttersprache die Gebärdensprache der Gehörlosen haben.

Kindertheatervorstellungen mit taubblinden, hör- und sehbehinderten, gehörlosen, hörbehinderten, behinderten, mehrfachbehinderten, hörenden (fünfsinnigen) Schülerinnen und Schülern in Zusammenarbeit mit gehörlosen, hörbehinderten,
CoDa und hörenden Künstlerinnen.

Vorstellungen im Urbanen Raum Wien. Vorstellungen in den österreichischen Bundesländern.

Opening Premiere on 8th of May 2024, 20.00 pm CEST "The Lay of Love and Death of The Cornet Christoph Rilke" Melodram by Viktor Ullmann directed as a bilingual performance in Austrian Sign Language und Spoken German performed as Visual Music Theatre by the deaf actor Werner Mössler, the singer and speaker Rupert Bergmann with Christoph Traxler on the piano.

"5 Steps Peace" a project of the Visual Theatre Library and the Theatre in the Urban Space of Vienna with four texts written by Dževad Karahasan "Privilege Dying", At the Academy", "The One and The Others" and "An Old Oriental Parable" and a text written by Dževad Karahasan and Herbert Gantschacher "Conversation as Art". "5 Steps Peace 2025 Part 1: "Privilege Dying" directed as a bilingual performance in Austrian Sign Language and Spoken German performed as Visual Theatre in the Urban Space of Vienna by the deaf actor Werner Mössler and the actor Markus Rupert.

Opening Performance on 31st of May 2025, 20.00 CEST "From The Idyll To The Abyss" Visual Theatre in Austrian Sign Language with music on the move related to the fates of Alma und Arnold Rosé with musical citations of Johann Sebastian Bach and Gustav Mahler's Polyphony and Hans Krása's Children's Opera "Brundibár" für Chamber Orchestra and Sign Language, music written by Werner Raditschnig Directed by: Herbert Gantschacher Translated into Austrian Sign Language by Werner Mössler Performed by: Werner Mössler (deaf actor), Markus Pol (actor, singer, speaker, performer of the Lorm-Alphabet for Deafblind and actor in Austrian Sign Language as a CoDA - Child of Deaf Adults), Markus Rupert (actor, speaker, singer and visual sign language) and Rita Luksch (actress, voice and visual sign language). Music performed by the arbos-ensemble.

"The Servants Of All Lords - The Hearing Impaired Visual Artist and Writer Gustinus Ambrosi As A Fascist And As A National Socialist, Darling of Adolf Hitler And Albert Speer" based on research work of Herbert Gantschacher, curator of the exhibition. "Wilhelm Jerusalem - The Moses Of The DeafBlind with Laura Bridgman, Marie Heurtin and Helen Keller" based on research work of Herbert Gantschacher, curator of the exhibition.
"The 5 Senses" Three Dimensional Pictures created by the visual artist Burgis Paier to Touch, to Smell, to Feel about the the deafblind one-sensed Laura Bridgman, the deafblind two-sensed Marie Heurtin, the deafblind three-sensed Helen Keller, the four-sensed hearing impaired and deaf Mary Ann Moore and the teacher for deaf education Sarah Harvey Porter, based on research work of Herbert Gantschacher, curator of the exhibition.

Opening Performance on 2nd of June 2025 CEST with "Idyll and Inferno" Visual Bilingual Theatre Translated into Austrian Sign Language by Werner Mössler Performed by: Markus Pol (actor, singer, speaker, performer of the Lorm-Alphabet for Deafblind and actor in Austrian Sign Language as a CoDA - Child of Deaf Adults), Markus Rupert (actor, speaker, singer and visual sign language) and Rita Luksch (actress, voice and visual sign language).
A production of Ensemble 21 with students from the MS 5 Klagenfurt-Wölfnitz for VISUAL 26. Palestine.

27th of June 2025 - 4th of July 2025 Performances in the States of the Republic of Austria in Kirchberg at the Wagram and the Wagram Window in Königsbrunn (Lower Austria) and Klagenfurt (Carinthia)
