ARBOS VISUAL ARBOS
ARBOS - Company for Musc and Theatre presents VISUAL 22, the 22nd European & International Visual Theatre Festival (= 22nd European and International Deaf Theatre Festival) from May 12th 2021 to June 26th 2021. In the year 2021 the festival works of theme "Create Peace!" as a sign to give the younger generations a life in peace to have a life worth to live.

VISUAL 22 is composed of the following parts:

VISUAL 22 is the VISUAL-THEATRE-FESTIVAL with 9 performances of professional deaf & hearing artists & theatres from 5 countries (USA, Latvia, Russia, Bosnia-Hercegovina and Austria). The festival productions are composed of the new directed productions with the visual music theatre project "Dududerdudu" of the composer Otto M. Zykan, the new minidramas of the Bosnian poet Dževad Karahasan, the theatre tryptichon as a part of the minidramas written by Arnolt Bronnen, Friedrich Wolf and Martha Steinitz, a theatre production of visual theatre in Sign Language with Jolanta, Znotina, Liva Kolmane, Markus Pol, Rita Luksch, Markus Rupert and Werner Mössler, "Talking Gloves" visual theatre with pictures of the Austrian visual artist Albin Egger-Lienz and poems of August Stramm, "Look Through My Eyes" theatre piece with music, dance and Sign Language of the Quest Visual Theatre with Mervin Primeaux, "Pfiff . Pfaff . Pfuff ." an evening with operas as visual music theatre after scene of Daniil Charms with music of Alexander Radvilovich and Werner Mössler with the arbos-ensemble, Selma Aljovic, Werner Mössler, Markus Rupert and Markus Pol.

VISUAL 22 is the VISUAL-CHILDREN+YOUTH-THEATRE-FESTIVAL with 5 productions performed by deaf, hearing and deafblind children and young people and adult. As a world premiere will be performed a picture story from Bethlehem in Palestine "The Ape and the Bananas", the visual music and theatre play "Talking Gloves", tje scenes with music "M.a.r.c.h." and "P.r.o.c.e.s.s.i.o.n." (both world premieres), "Zmaga in zgaga, mir in pir / Krieg und Sieg, Friede und Liebe / Guerra e vittoria, pace e amore" poem written by Fabjan Hafner as visual theatre performed in five languages, in Austrian Sign Language, in Slovenian, in German, in Italian, and English, the dadaistic scenes "Caravan" and "Dead Cry" by Hugo Ball, and the neue play to touch, to smell, and to taste for and with Deafblind "One Desk and Three Chairs" by Herbert Gantschacher.

VISUAL 22 presents also TWO EXHIBITIONS at the VIENNNESE THEATRE SPIELRAUM at the Studio and the Entrancehall. The festival will be opened on 12th of May 2021 with the exhibition "The Deafblind Pacfist and the Peace Movement" in the Studio of the VIENNESE THEATRE SPIELRAUM. An important part of the exhibition is the work of the deafblind Helen Keller for peace and against the war, für equality and against discrimination of deafblind, blind, deaf, handicapped and socially disavantaged. Part of the opening of the exhibition is the visual presentation of "Johnny Got His Gun" with music of the band Metallica and the fate of the deaf and blind Johnny. The themes of the exhibition will be also part of workshop from 13th of May to 15th of May 2021. On 15th of May 2021 the exbitition "The Fives Senses" of the visual artist Burgis Paier will be opened in the entrancehall of the VIENNESE THEATRE SPIELRAUM: With five spectalous pictures about the five senses to touch, to smell, to taste, to see, and to hear by examples on the deafblind Laura Bridgman, Marie Heurtin, and Helen Keller, the blind Mary Ann Moore, and the teacher for deaf education Sarah Harvey Porter.

In Vienna the performances take place from 15th of May to 21st of May 2021 in the VIENNESE THEATRE SPIELRAUM in the centre of Vienna in the 7st district at the Kaiserstraße 46. The performances in the Austrian States of Lower Austria, Burgenland and Carinthia take place till 26th of June 2021 and in autumn between 7th of October and 14th of October 2021. Die Vorstellungen in den Bundesländern finden in Niederösterreich, Burgenland und Kärnten statt bis zum 26. Juni 2021 und im Herbst zwischen dem 7.Oktober 2021 und 14.Oktober 2021.

VISUAL 22 PRESENTS ALSO TWO PERFORMANCES IN THE URBAN SPACE OF VIENNA. From 15th of May to 21st of May 2021 texts of the deafblind Laura Bridgman and Marie Heurtin will be performed.

VISUAL 22 PRESENTS ALSO SPECIAL WORKSHOPS. According to the theatre projects are workshops for sensibilisation take place on the themes "To Touch - To Smell - To Taste". These workshops are for all generations for deafblind, deaf and hearing young people and adults working with the theme based on Helen Keller "Obstacles are Things to be Overcome."

VISUAL 22 IS ALSO A FESTIVAL WITH LIVE BROADCASTS ON THE INTERNET.
From 12th of May to 26th of June 2021 Live Broadcasts of performances of the festival are take place on https://www.arbos.at/livestream/. The audience can see there productions with the Quest Visual Theatre from the USA, with Jolanta Znotina and LIva Kolmane from Riga in Latvia, with Ramesh Meyyappan from Singapore and Scotland, Arkadiusz Palatinsky and Piotr Novak from Poland, Werner Mössler, Markus Pol, Markus Rupert, Rita Luksch and Horst Dittrich from Austria.

VISUAL 22 offers no regular ticket sales for audience. For the audience there are in the year 2021 Live Broadcasts on the internet.

VISUAL 22 works with the main topic on education for pupils and students and special experts.
